Good Earth selects decaffeinated white tea and green tea from select regions of China. White tea comes from the same plant as green and black tea. In making white tea, fresh spring tea leaves are picked only in the beginning of the season. Leaves are immediately steamed, preserving its inherent beneficial properties. As a result, experts say, white tea boasts more catechins-powerful antioxidants. We use a CO2 process to decaffeinate the tea as it maintains the antioxidant properties.
